Hello there!
I'm Maria Luisa Petrarca, children's book illustrator and character designer student based in Italy. I've always loved drawing and I had to fight my fears a lot to achieve my dream! That's why I've studied New Media Technologies in Naples, I needed that kick to overcome my insecurities. During my studies I've mostly learned how to program interactive sculptures and in 2019 I finally had the courage to study illustration!

I've started my professional journey in 2020 as an illustrator for Gallucci Editore, since then I've learned (and still continue to learn) so many things! I'm now a freelance illustrator for Advocate Art (excluding Italy) and I'm also starting a new adventure in character design.

I love to learn and improve myself, I'm always up for a new challenge!
